Production worker wanted in Genemuiden! Work in a modern production hall, earn €3,150 to €4,600 gross per month incl. shift allowances and overtime, and enjoy lots of variety.
Job description
As a production worker in Genemuiden, you work in a large, modern production hall where various machines are running and where every day can bring something different. You start your day with a cup of coffee together with your colleagues and discuss with the team leader what needs to be done. After that, as a production worker you get to work in one of the departments, such as at the tuft machine, the backing department, the lamination department or the mixing room. Because as a production worker you can work in multiple departments, your work stays varied and you get the chance to develop yourself in different processes. Step by step, you learn how the lines work, what to pay attention to and how to quickly see whether the process is running well.
In practice, you operate machines, adjust them where necessary and keep a close eye on the process. You check quality, watch for deviations and step in on time if you see something is not right. You handle minor malfunctions yourself or coordinate with colleagues if you want to brainstorm for a moment, so production can keep running. You make sure the workplace stays tidy and safe and you work according to clear agreements, because safety and quality are our top priorities. You also help with changing materials, converting a line and neatly registering what has been produced, so everyone in the team knows where you stand.
You work in a 3 or 4 shift system. With 3 shifts you have the weekend off, and with 4 shifts you only work on Saturday. Work may take place on public holidays, which provides extra variety and allowances. You do not have fixed breaks, but the short breaks you take are paid. After a training period of about 2 months to a year, you can work independently as a production worker and you take on more and more responsibility in the process. The schedule changes regularly, which means you learn to perform different tasks and your work remains dynamic. You will join an informal and collegial atmosphere within a family business, with regular enjoyable dinners and attention for the staff. As a production worker, you get room to grow by learning in multiple departments and becoming more skilled and independent in your work.
