Extrusion Operator wanted in Genemuiden! Work 40 hours per week in 12-hour shifts, earn €3,400 to €4,000 gross per month and receive a 20% shift allowance plus a €7.50 meal allowance.
Job description
As an Extrusion Operator in Genemuiden, you work in the extrusion department within a production environment where semi-finished products are processed into finished rolls of floor covering. You start your shift together with your regular colleagues with a coffee moment, during which you discuss the schedule and the details of the day with your team. After that, as an Extrusion Operator you get to work on one of the production lines with machines, buffers, measuring stations and packaging installations. You enjoy working in a technical process where you stay continuously alert to quality, safety and pace. Your work is varied, because you are involved in multiple parts of the process and you constantly switch between machine operation, quality control, registration in the computer system and physical work.
In practice, as an Extrusion Operator you are responsible for processing material from start to finish. You accurately sew materials together at the start of the process, you feed granules into the production line and you monitor heating processes. You check settings, parts and bolt adjustments and you verify whether patterns, weight and dimensions are correct. You carry out quality checks throughout the entire process and you register production data, deviations and special details in the computer system. You supervise cooling, lamination and cutting processes and you check whether the automatic rolling and packaging runs properly. Sometimes you carry out punching work if a specific order requires it. You coordinate a lot with the team leader and other departments to prevent downtime, errors and rejects, because you understand that the process only runs smoothly when everyone works well together.
Safety is central within the department. On certain parts of the line, personal protective equipment such as gloves and a mask is mandatory. At the thickness gauge, additional safety regulations apply due to radioactive measuring equipment. Pregnant employees are not allowed to work at this part of the production line. Your breaks are flexible when possible within the department and they are fully paid. During your break, it is not allowed to leave the premises. After about 1.5 months, you can operate the computer system independently. If you are trained as a machine operator, it takes on average 6 to 7 months before you can perform these tasks fully independently. From Extrusion Operator, you can grow into machine operator and into more technically specialized roles within the extrusion department, such as Operator Plus.
Do you want to work as an Extrusion Operator in Genemuiden in a technically challenging environment, with a 20% shift allowance, paid breaks and growth opportunities towards machine operator or Operator Plus?
