Logistics employee wanted in Schiphol Rijk! You will work at least 30 hours per week in a busy and well organised warehouse and make sure all parcels follow the right route on time.
Job description
As a logistics employee in Schiphol Rijk, you make sure everything in the warehouse keeps moving. You sort parcels, scan shipments and pack and unpack boxes. You make sure every parcel ends up in the right place and can leave on time. In the first period, as a logistics employee you will mainly work on the conveyor belt. You keep a good pace and pay close attention, so parcels go onto the correct belt or are placed in the right van. You work accurately, but you also like to get things done, because it can get busy. You are on your feet a lot, you stay active and it feels good to see real results at the end of your shift. If you notice something is off, you fix it right away or quickly check with a colleague, so the process doesn’t stop.
After your onboarding period, we will look together at which part of the process suits you best. If you want to grow, that’s possible too. There are opportunities to move towards a forklift driver role or later take a step into a coordinating position. So you’re not “stuck” doing one task, you can develop if you want to. Even though it’s a large warehouse, we value personal attention. You will join a friendly team where people help each other when it’s busy and where you can just be yourself. You will be trained properly and get clear instructions, so you can quickly work independently. This helps you feel at home on the floor as a logistics employee.
You work the morning shift from 05:00 until at least 11:00. Want to work longer? That’s possible too: you can extend your shift until 13:00 and sometimes even until 14:00, depending on what you prefer and what is needed that day. That’s ideal if you want to make extra hours. And the busier it is, the better the flow, because you immediately see the impact of your work. That’s why you go home with a good feeling every day as a logistics employee, knowing your effort really makes a difference.
